Company: ZADCO
Project: Zirku Island ESD Upgrade Conceptual Study
Location: Abu Dhabi
Overview:
In 2013 PEAK was approached to get involved in a conceptual study for ZADCO, which aimed to detail the required Emergency Shutdown (ESD) upgrades to an oil/gas separation and stabilisation plant. This work was required in order to meet the latest industry standards.
Methodology:
Throughout the project, PEAK was responsible for the delivery of all major process and safety planning, including process-safeguarding diagrams, safeguarding narratives, cause and effects, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). These documented and detailed all proposed changes.
A review of the relief and blowdown system was also undertaken to account for proposed changes.
Conclusion:
ZADCO underwent a successful upgrade to its oil/gas separation and stabilisation plant, smoothly accomplishing industry standard.
